Structural Engineer

Overview

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering
• Minimum 7 years of experience, including at least 5 years in the UAE with a construction/contracting company.
• Proven experience in the execution of residential, commercial, high-rise, mixed-use, or industrial building projects.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural steel, post-tension, and foundation systems.
• Experience reviewing structural shop drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), method statements, and technical submittals.
• Good understanding of UAE building codes, authority requirements, and construction standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Experience with ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro, or similar structural software is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee structural works during project execution to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, and MEP teams to resolve structural design and construction issues.
• Review structural shop drawings, reinforcement details, and technical submittals before execution.
• Monitor site activities to ensure structural works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules.
• Conduct inspections of reinforcement, formwork, concrete works, and structural steel installations.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, local authority regulations, and health & safety requirements.
• Provide technical support to site engineers and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review RFIs, method statements, material submittals, and as-built documentation.
• Support project planning, progress monitoring, and cost-effective execution of structural works.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure all structural works meet required quality standards.
