Responsibilities
- Check the structural integrity of steel and aluminum structures and prepare and submit structural calculations on time and to quality standards.
- Support the annual budget target referenced for the Senior Structural Engineer.
- Review tender projects and provide pricing input to help the Commercial Team win projects.
- Coordinate with the client's structural team to ensure proposed systems meet requirements.
- Plan pre-construction activities and review contractor schedules, method statements, and risk assessments for structural steel works.
- Review supplier and fabricator prequalifications and attend factory visits as needed.
- Review inspectors' daily reports, oversee inspection activities, and supervise contractor operations.
- Coordinate with contractor supervisors on schedules, work sequence, and methods.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant engineering degree from a reputed university.
- 3–5 years of experience in structural steel, steel connection design, and steel construction projects.
- Experience with ADM and DM design codes and design software such as SAP, STAAD, Idea StatiCa, Master Series, BIM, Revit, or Tekla.
- Relevant construction supervision and quality assurance experience; previous UAE construction project experience is required.
- Clear spoken and written English communication.
- Portfolio of built work showing technical capability and site management skills.
- Valid UAE driver's license.
- Experience at a structural steel fabrication, construction, or consultancy company is preferred.
Workplace and Employment
- Full-time position with in-person work in Sharjah.
- Candidates must reliably commute or plan to relocate to Sharjah before starting.
