Responsibilities
- Create accurate CAD drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, and site visits.
- Coordinate with project managers, design consultants, and subcontractors to produce and revise drawings.
- Support the design process by creating sketches and drawings; maintain project drawing lists.
- Print drawing sets for project managers and site superintendents.
- Organize CAD server drawings, project folders, and files as projects progress and revisions are made.
- Check drawings for errors before sharing them with architects, subcontractors, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Clarify uncertain details with engineers and project managers.
- Upload drawings to web-based storage and collaboration sites; create, edit, and update standard details.
Required qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or civil engineering.
- At least 1 year of experience in a Draftsman role.
- Strong fluency and skills in AutoCAD, 3D Max, After Effects, and SolidWorks.
- Excellent listening, comprehension, communication, and feedback skills.
- Detail-oriented and driven, with problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
