Assists the Storekeeper with receiving, storing, organizing, and issuing materials, food items, equipment, and supplies.
Helps maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and check deliveries; compare items with delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Unload, move, arrange, label, and store goods for easy identification and access.
- Support stock counts and physical inventory checks.
- Issue materials and supplies to authorized departments.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO procedures where applicable.
- Report damaged, expired, missing, excess, or low-stock items to the Storekeeper.
- Maintain warehouse and storage-area cleanliness and organization.
- Handle goods carefully to prevent damage or wastage; store food and non-food items separately.
- Prepare items for internal distribution.
- Follow company, food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures.
- Use warehouse equipment safely and responsibly.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Storekeeper or Management.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse or store experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of stock handling and warehouse procedures.
- Physically fit and able to lift and move items when required.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Honest, responsible, and hardworking; able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic English communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays when required.
