Assist with daily accounting and finance activities, maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, and support reporting, reconciliations, and documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with daily accounting transactions and financial recordkeeping.
- Record invoices, receipts, payments, and other transactions; process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders and supporting documents; assist with supplier statement reconciliation and payment follow-up.
- Maintain petty cash records and assist with bank and cash reconciliations.
- Monitor and record daily sales and collections; prepare sales, cash, and expense reports.
- Assist with monthly financial reports and schedules; support month-end and year-end closing.
- Maintain accounting files and VAT-related documentation; coordinate invoice and payment documents with suppliers and departments.
- Enter and maintain accounting data in the ERP/accounting system; prepare Excel reports and basic financial analysis.
- Support the Senior Accountant and Finance Manager with accounting tasks and other assigned finance duties.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of accounting or finance experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and procedures; knowledge of UAE VAT is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel; ERP or accounting software experience is preferred.
- Good numerical and analytical skills, attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and time management.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently and as part of a team; good communication and interpersonal skills.
