A Storekeeper will be responsible for handling parts movements accurately based on the requests and following safe practices.
Key Tasks
- Safety is Priority.
- Handling parts safely to avoid damage.
- Storekeeper picks parts or request parts picker as per picking list with the correct part number and quantity, and posts in the system or hands over the acknowledged picking slip to responsible staff for invoicing (ICT Transfer) based on location arrangements and requirements.
- Gather the appropriate items to fulfill incoming and outgoing orders.
- Performs regular stock count as per the provided list.
- Reports to In-Charge for any part in the picking list that is not found or incomplete in quantity.
- Ensure unauthorized withdrawal of parts from stock; it’s prohibited.
- Pack the goods whenever required and always be alert! Must have the initiative to perform jobs whenever required.
- Arrange the location and bins in a way to gain as much space as we can.
- Keep the warehouse clean and inform the Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Manager immediately of any defective or damaged parts found in the location.
- To take care, not to cause accidental damage to delivery vehicles and components while loading/unloading of parts.
- Ensure proper housekeeping of the assigned warehouse area.
- To report any irregularities which may have occurred within the warehouse premises to the Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Manager
- Must be flexible (multi-Tasking)
- Use PPE/safety equipment provided by the company and notify warehouse manager immediately of any unsafe practices observed in the workplace.
- To actively participate in team meetings.
- Give suggestions and work with a team to reduce nonvalue added work, enhance working culture/environment, and improve profitability.
- Adhere to governmental and companies' Health and Safety regulations. Comply with all company policies and procedures including security, health, safety, quality, and environmental policies, etc.
- Dispose of the waste as per governmental and company policies.
- Other tasks as assigned/instructed by the Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Manager must be followed.
- Perform and support other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Knowledge, Qualifications & Skills required
- Minimum of 2 years proven experience in a similar role.
- Fair Knowledge of automotive spare parts and warehousing.
- Disciplined time management.
- Logical thinker with problem-solving attributes.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Computer competency.
- Competent to understand and follow specified policies and procedures.
- Able to read, write and communicate in English
- Computer skills.
- Diploma course / warehousing experience.
- A strong understanding of the warehouse process in the automotive industry.
- Familiarity with DMS systems.
- Familiarity with EPC systems.
- Relevant training and/or certifications of parts warehousing.
- Excellent in verbal and written English communication
- Pay: AED1,682.28 - AED4,652.44 per month
