The storekeeper manages daily store operations, inventory records, and the receipt, storage, and issue of materials.
The role calls for experience in inventory management, stock control, and warehouse documentation.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify goods against purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices; record and issue materials to authorized departments.
- Update stock records in ERP or Excel, monitor stock levels, and notify departments about low-stock items.
- Count stock, reconcile discrepancies, arrange and label materials, and monitor damaged, expired, or obsolete items.
- Prepare and maintain GRN, MIV, MRV, and other store documents; coordinate deliveries and requirements with purchasing, accounts, and operations.
- Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and housekeeping; assist with inventory audits and prepare stock reports.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and inventory control policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or bachelor's degree; a relevant qualification is an advantage.
- Previous experience as a storekeeper, store assistant, or warehouse assistant.
- Knowledge of inventory management, stock control, warehouse procedures, GRN, MIV, MRV, delivery notes, and purchase orders.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software or ERP systems.
- Organization, attention to detail, accurate record keeping, communication, coordination, and ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- UAE warehouse or store experience is preferred.
