Architectural Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural designs, layouts, plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings.
• Prepare and review drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
• Coordinate with structural, civil, and MEP engineers to integrate designs and resolve technical issues.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Review construction drawings, material specifications, and shop drawings.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, UAE authority regulations, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify design discrepancies and recommend practical solutions to site issues.
• Assist with material schedules, BOQs, technical submissions, and project documentation.
• Help ensure projects meet approved designs, quality standards, and timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in architectural design and construction projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit, SketchUp, or other BIM/design software knowledge is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of architectural drawings, construction detailing, materials, and building methods.
• Familiarity with UAE building regulations and relevant authority approval procedures.
• Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
• Strong technical, problem-solving, and communication skills; able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• UAE project experience is preferred.
