Oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for construction projects.
The role requires technical knowledge, design and site execution experience, and coordination with consultants, contractors, and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Plan, review, and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for construction projects.
- Review MEP drawings, technical specifications, material submittals, and shop drawings.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and civil teams to resolve design clashes and site issues.
- Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of MEP systems.
- Ensure MEP work complies with approved drawings, project specifications, UAE regulations, and authority requirements.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor installation quality and project progress.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and project managers.
- Monitor schedules, material requirements, and manpower allocation to meet deadlines.
- Identify technical issues, troubleshoot system problems, and recommend solutions.
- Verify material and equipment quality before installation.
- Prepare progress reports, inspection requests, technical documentation, and handover documents.
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance and coordinate completed-system handover.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Proven MEP Engineer experience in building construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical installations, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems.
- Ability to interpret MEP drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD.
- Revit MEP and BIM coordination knowledge is an advantage.
- Knowledge of UAE building regulations and relevant authority requirements.
- Experience coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Understanding of MEP testing, commissioning, quality control, and site safety procedures.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, coordination, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
- UAE construction project experience is preferred.
