Role overview

FIVE Hotels and Resorts is hiring a Steward for a guest-focused hospitality operation.

The role offers a fixed monthly salary of AED 1,000.

Experience and qualifications

  • A proven 1–2-year track record in a similar role is required.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required; multiple languages are preferred.
  • Knowledge of sanitation and hygiene practices, strong multitasking, organization, communication, attention to detail, and teamwork are sought.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform physically demanding work is required.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, is required.
  • Knowledge of Forbes Standards is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and workspaces while complying with health and safety rules.
  • Supply clean dishes, glassware, silverware, and other items to culinary and service teams.
  • Handle waste and garbage according to established guidelines.
  • Assist with banquet event setup and breakdown.
  • Support special requests and anticipate guest needs to improve the guest experience.
  • Handle and store equipment and supplies according to procedures; assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
  • Report maintenance or repair needs to a team leader or supervisor.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, attend training, and complete tasks efficiently and thoroughly.

Schedule and standards

  • Work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, according to hotel requirements.
  • Arrive promptly and maintain the employer's grooming standards and polished appearance.
