Coordinates staff to provide effective service and meet guest needs in cafeteria dining operations.
Service and operational duties
- Inspect staff grooming and attire; complete opening and closing tasks, including setup, cleaning, and securing areas.
- Check storage organization, FIFO stock rotation, and cleanliness; complete inventories and requisition supplies.
- Monitor dining-room seating, service, safety, and guest well-being; submit maintenance work orders.
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, coaching, and motivation of employees.
- Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and communicate professionally.
- Follow company and safety procedures, report accidents and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training.
- Maintain quality standards and recommend or implement improvements in efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, or cost savings.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- At least 2 years of related work experience preferred.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
- No license or certification specified.
Physical demands
- The role involves extended periods standing, sitting, or walking; handling objects up to 50 pounds; and reaching, bending, twisting, and moving through stairs or confined spaces.
