Manage procurement activities for engineering and construction projects, ensuring timely purchasing of materials and services while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities for engineering and construction projects.
- Source and evaluate suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Prepare and issue RFQs, analyze quotations, and prepare commercial comparisons.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare purchase orders and procurement documentation.
- Coordinate material requirements with project engineers and site teams and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
- Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and documentation; monitor supplier performance and resolve related issues.
- Ensure purchased materials meet project specifications and quality standards and follow company procurement policies.
- Coordinate with accounts on invoices and payment processing.
- Maintain supplier relationships and monitor construction-material market pricing and trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least five years of procurement experience in engineering or construction companies.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, MEP items, and subcontract procurement.
- Good negotiation and communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Able to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and demonstrate strong organization and analytical skills.
- UAE experience is preferred.
