Landscape Engineer

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Review landscape drawings, specifications, BOQs, contract documents, and project requirements.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise landscape construction and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate softscape and hardscape works, including planting, paving, kerbs, planters, and walkways.
• Supervise irrigation installation, including pipelines, valves, sprinklers, drip irrigation, and controllers.
• Coordinate with irrigation, civil, MEP, and other project teams.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, samples, method statements, and inspection requests.
• Inspect materials, plants, soil, workmanship, and compliance with approved requirements.
• Coordinate plant procurement, delivery, storage, planting, establishment, soil preparation, and turf installation.
• Prepare progress reports and monitor progress against the approved work program.
• Identify site issues, technical problems, and delays and coordinate corrective actions.
• Supervise personnel and monitor manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractor performance.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification, as-built documents, and handover.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Five to eight years of relevant experience in landscape construction, irrigation, and maintenance projects.
• Experience with commercial, residential, infrastructure, public realm, parks, streetscape, or similar projects.
• Good knowledge of softscape, hardscape, irrigation, soil preparation, planting, and landscape maintenance.
• Good understanding of drawings, specifications, BOQs, method statements, and material submittals.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
• Knowledge of UAE construction, landscaping, HSE, and environmental requirements.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering or design software.
• Strong communication, coordination, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple site activities and work effectively under pressure.
