Role overview
Manage execution, installation, and testing of on-site electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, ELV, and fire alarm works.
Bridge engineering drawings and field installation while ensuring compliance with approved plans, local authority regulations, and quality standards.
Installation and coordination
- Supervise electrical installation works covering containment, cabling, panel boards, ELV, and finishing fixtures.
- Review electrical shop drawings and single-line diagrams to detect and resolve clashes with mechanical or civil structures.
- Assist with compliance with local authority, municipality, and Civil Defense standards.
Documentation and site delivery
- Raise and close out technical data sheets, drawing submittals, WIRs, MIRs, test reports, as-built drawings, and commissioning reports with the consultant.
- Monitor subcontractor productivity and work quality, and verify monthly progress invoices.
- Maintain site diaries and prepare daily and weekly progress reports for the MEP Project Manager.
Resources, testing, and safety
- Monitor manpower, attendance, productivity, material requirements, and resource utilization; coordinate with subcontractors and procurement to prevent delays.
- Direct continuity, insulation, and functional testing of panels and systems during commissioning.
- Enforce site safety rules and electrical lockout/tagout procedures.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of continuous field experience in building construction or MEP projects.
- Deep familiarity with local utility regulations, IEC and BS standards, and testing procedures.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong team leadership, problem-solving, and verbal communication skills.
