The Senior .NET Developer will design, build, and deliver scalable enterprise SaaS applications.
The posting states the role is based in Canada and remote, with a 6–12+ month contract and possible extension.
Responsibilities
- Decompose complex problems, design solutions, and implement core frameworks.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services with C#, .NET Core, Entity Framework, and Web API.
- Apply DDD and CQRS patterns to build modular, scalable systems.
- Design SQL Server databases, write stored procedures, optimize queries, and tune performance.
- Write clean, testable, maintainable code with appropriate documentation.
- Own unit, integration, and performance testing in a Shift Left, no-QA-team setup.
- Work with product managers and teams to understand requirements and deliver customer-focused features.
- Use AI tools for code generation, refactoring, documentation, and faster development.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of enterprise or SaaS software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core, and Web API.
- Experience with Angular or another frontend framework and Entity Framework (EF Core or EF6).
- SQL Server skills including queries, stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and enterprise architecture.
- Experience with DDD, CQRS, and clean separation of business logic and data access.
- Familiarity with multithreading, asynchronous programming, and system performance tuning.
- Comfort with Git, CI/CD, and Agile development.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication; experience across multiple teams or squads.
- Daily use of AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar is required.
