Role overview

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed test reports and documentation; organize and perform electrical commissioning, SAT, energization, and functional testing.
• Work with ECMS, PMS, FMS, HV/LV switchboards, protection relays, MCCs, and heavy transformers; conduct functional and operational tests on process systems.
• Lead commissioning teams, coordinate with other disciplines, and perform inter-discipline checks.
• Review project documentation and scope; identify required test equipment and verify its safe operating condition before use.
• Prepare method statements, procedures, and routines; report progress, potential delays, and recommended solutions.
• Assist with pre-commissioning status indexes and electrical commissioning databases.
• Plan and monitor vendor activities and ensure temporary supplies and commissioning spares are adequate for subsystem testing.
• Use electrical documents including single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, schematics, logic diagrams, load lists, relay settings, earthing and lighting-protection layouts, and cable schedules.
• Work with motors, local control stations, heat tracing, and heaters; comply with PPE, PTW, and HSE requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 10 years of relevant oil and gas experience, including at least four years in a key commissioning role.
• The description identifies familiarity with SCADA systems and electrical documentation, experience with field electrical equipment, and compliance with site safety requirements.
