The Senior Architect is responsible for daily activities supporting architectural and finishing works across projects.
The role involves design and submittal review, stakeholder coordination, technical documentation, and engagement with clients and design and supervision teams.
Responsibilities
- Review designs, shop drawings, and material submittals for compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinate project activities among architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to support project goals and timelines.
- Prepare and review technical correspondence, contract documentation, and project-related records.
- Check drawings, specifications, reports, and other deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design intent.
- Act as the primary company contact for clients, maintaining communication, addressing concerns, and providing updates.
- Coordinate design modifications and issue resolution with design offices, integrating changes into the project.
- Guide site teams on technical matters, construction challenges, design intent, and quality of architectural and finishing works.
- Participate in technical, project review, progress, and coordination meetings.
- Liaise with site supervision teams and conduct site visits to understand project details and pending design issues.
- Coordinate with the technical team to initiate responses to contractors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture is required.
- Experience in architectural project execution, coordination, and supervision.
- Proficiency in architectural design software; AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp are listed as examples.
- Strong knowledge of sustainable design practices, building codes, and construction standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities; attention to quality and accuracy.
- Proven experience liaising with clients, governmental authorities, and design offices.
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions.
