Job Summary

Financial Accounting & Month-End Close

• Perform monthly closing activities in line with the agreed close calendar.
• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate accounting schedules and supporting documentation.
• Review trial balance, balance sheet, and key accounts, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and company accounting policies.

Reporting & Reconciliations

• Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations with proper audit trails.
• Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances, including Stellantis-related parties.
• Support financial controllers with reporting, analysis, and ad-hoc accounting requirements.

Tax & VAT Compliance

• Support the timely preparation and submission of UAE VAT returns and refund applications.
• Ensure VAT transactions are correctly recorded in SAP and comply with UAE VAT laws and regulations.
• Liaise with tax consultants and internal stakeholders on VAT-related matters and audits.

Audit & Compliance

• Coordinate and support external and internal audits, including preparation of audit schedules.
• Respond to audit queries promptly and ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and statutory requirements.

Systems & Process Improvement

• Utilize SAP effectively to support accounting, reporting, and reconciliation processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) preferred.
• 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience in a corporate or multinational environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP (mandatory).
• Solid knowledge of IFRS or local GAAP.
• Proven experience working with external auditors and tax consultants.
• Strong understanding of UAE VAT laws, reporting, and compliance.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
