Accountant
The accountant is responsible for handling day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting inventory and VAT-related accounting in a gold jewellery manufacturing environment.
The role ensures proper recording of transactions, reconciliation of accounts, and support in financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions including sales, purchases, expenses, and journal entries.
- Maintain general ledger and assist in monthly closing activities.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable processing and follow-up.
- Perform bank and cash reconciliations on a regular basis.
- Maintain accurate records of gold stock, jewellery inventory, and related movements.
- Assist in VAT preparation and ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations.
- Support preparation of basic financial reports and MIS data.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing for audit readiness.
- Update accounting data in ERP/software systems (Tally / Zoho / SAP, etc.).
Required Experience
- 1 to 3 years of accounting experience
- Experience in trading, manufacturing, or jewellery industry preferred
Required
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations (preferred)
- Strong Excel skills (basic formulas, reporting)
- Experience with accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, etc.)
- Good attention to detail, especially in inventory-related entries
- Ability to manage deadlines and maintain accuracy
Sr. Accountant
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing core accounting operations, financial reporting, and inventory/cost accounting in a gold jewellery manufacturing setup.
The role plays a key part in gold stock valuation, production costing, VAT compliance, and monthly financial closing, ensuring accuracy and control across all financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead monthly and year-end closing of accounts with accuracy and completeness
- Prepare and review financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
- Manage gold inventory accounting including raw gold, WIP, and finished jewellery stock
- Monitor gold weight reconciliation, wastage, melting loss, and stock valuation
- Oversee product costing including making charges, labour, and overhead allocation
- Review accounts payable and receivable, including supplier and customer reconciliations
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow position
- Ensure full VAT compliance and assist in filing VAT returns in UAE
- Support internal and external audits with required documentation and reports
- Maintain and improve accounting processes within ERP systems
