Position Summary: Accountant

The accountant is responsible for handling day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting inventory and VAT-related accounting in a gold jewellery manufacturing environment. The role ensures proper recording of transactions, reconciliation of accounts, and support in financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record daily financial transactions including sales, purchases, expenses, and journal entries.

• Maintain general ledger and assist in monthly closing activities.

• Handle accounts payable and receivable processing and follow-up.

• Perform bank and cash reconciliations on a regular basis.

• Maintain accurate records of gold stock, jewellery inventory, and related movements.

• Assist in VAT preparation and ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations.

• Support preparation of basic financial reports and MIS data.

• Maintain proper documentation and filing for audit readiness.

• Update accounting data in ERP/software systems (Tally / Zoho / SAP, etc.).

Required Experience:

• 1 to 3 years of accounting experience

• Experience in trading, manufacturing, or jewellery industry preferred

Skills Required:

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes

• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations (preferred)

• Strong Excel skills (basic formulas, reporting)

• Experience with accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, etc.)

• Good attention to detail, especially in inventory-related entries

• Ability to manage deadlines and maintain accuracy

Position Summary: Sr. Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing core accounting operations, financial reporting, and inventory/cost accounting in a gold jewellery manufacturing setup. The role plays a key part in gold stock valuation, production costing, VAT compliance, and monthly financial closing, ensuring accuracy and control across all financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly and year-end closing of accounts with accuracy and completeness

• Prepare and review financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow

• Manage gold inventory accounting including raw gold, WIP, and finished jewellery stock

• Monitor gold weight reconciliation, wastage, melting loss, and stock valuation

• Oversee product costing including making charges, labour, and overhead allocation

• Review accounts payable and receivable, including supplier and customer reconciliations

• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow position

• Ensure full VAT compliance and assist in filing VAT returns in UAE

• Support internal and external audits with required documentation and reports

• Maintain and improve accounting processes within ERP systems
