Sr. Accountant

About This Role

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
• Ensure all financial records are accurate, complete, and up to date.
• Assist in external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
• Oversee and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Ensure timely closing of books and accuracy of trial balance.
• Assist management in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget variances and provide analysis with corrective recommendations.
• Support strategic decision-making through financial insights.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, corporate tax, and other applicable regulations.
• Prepare and file tax returns on time.
• Maintain proper documentation for tax audits.
• Monitor daily cash flow and prepare cash flow projections.
• Manage banking relationships and ensure smooth fund flow.
• Optimize working capital and financial resources.
• Develop and implement strong internal control policies.
• Streamline accounting processes for efficiency.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks.
• Guide and mentor junior accountants and accounting staff.
• Review work prepared by the accounting team.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Provide financial analysis and reports to management for decision-making.
• Support management in financial planning and strategy formulation.
• Present monthly MIS (Management Information System) reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience as an Accountant.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of tax laws and regulations .

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
