Position overview

Surface preparation and painting

• Clean, sand, grind, mask, and prime aluminum, steel, and metal surfaces; remove dust, rust, grease, and other contaminants.
• Inspect surfaces for defects and make necessary repairs before painting.
• Apply primer, base coat, and topcoat using air spray, airless spray, or electrostatic spray equipment.
• Mix paints, hardeners, and thinners as recommended by manufacturers; adjust equipment to achieve the required finish and coating thickness.
• Perform touch-ups and repaint damaged surfaces when required.

Quality, equipment, and safety

• Inspect products for color consistency, finish quality, gloss, coating thickness, and defects; correct runs, orange peel, pinholes, and uneven coatings.
• Clean and maintain spray guns, pumps, hoses, compressors, and painting equipment; report malfunctions and coordinate maintenance.
• Store and handle paints, solvents, and chemicals safely.
• Follow HSE policies, use PPE, ensure proper ventilation, and maintain a clean, organized, safe work area.

Qualifications and experience

• Minimum 3–5 years as a Spray Painter in aluminum, façade, metal fabrication, construction, automotive, or industrial manufacturing.
• Experience with aluminum profiles, steel structures, metal fabrication, and architectural products is preferred.
• UAE or GCC manufacturing or construction experience is an advantage.
• High school certificate or technical/vocational qualification preferred.
• Industrial or automotive spray-painting certification is an advantage.

Technical skills

• Industrial spray painting, surface preparation, air spray and airless spray systems.
• Electrostatic spray painting is preferred.
• Primer and topcoat application, paint mixing and color matching, and coating thickness control.
• Paint defect identification and rectification, equipment cleaning and maintenance, quality inspection, and safe chemical handling.
