Kitchen duties
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, and storing food; thaw frozen food in refrigeration.
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or professional judgment.
- Prepare and cook food to recipe, quality, presentation, and checklist standards.
- Monitor food quality and test doneness by tasting, smelling, or using utensils.
- Portion, arrange, garnish, and serve food in appropriate receptacles.
- Check appliance and food temperatures and notify a manager when a product does not meet specifications.
Safety and teamwork
- Use kitchen tools safely; wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Follow company safety and security policies and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Communicate assistance needs during busy periods, support team goals, and respond to colleagues' concerns.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- At least one year of related work experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience or license/certification is listed.
Work conditions
- Role is at the Dubai hotel location and involves hands-on kitchen work.
- Requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and moving or handling objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Maintain clean, professional personal appearance and communicate clearly and professionally.
