Hostess role supporting guest arrivals and dining-room operations at the hotel.
Guest and dining-room service
- Greet guests, determine party size, seat them at clean available tables, and provide menus.
- Guide guests through dining rooms and assist as needed, including arranging seating for groups with special needs.
- Arrange tables, chairs, and place settings; ensure guests have napkins, clean silverware, and standard items.
- Check menus for cleanliness, currency, availability, and condition.
- Maintain clean work areas and monitor seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being.
Workplace standards and teamwork
- Follow safety and security policies, report incidents and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training.
- Maintain professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and meet quality expectations.
- Welcome guests, communicate professionally, answer telephones appropriately, and work toward shared team goals.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and handle objects up to 10 pounds without assistance; perform other reasonable duties as requested.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- No related work experience or supervisory experience is specified as needed.
