Role overview

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage ear, nose, throat, and related head and neck conditions.
• Evaluate and treat sinusitis, tonsillitis, allergic rhinitis, hearing loss, ear infections, voice disorders, swallowing difficulties, and upper airway conditions.
• Perform nasal endoscopy, laryngoscopy, otoscopy, and other ENT procedures.
• Perform tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, septoplasty, and FESS where appropriately trained and credentialed.
• Evaluate vertigo, tinnitus, balance disorders, and other otological conditions; interpret audiometry, tympanometry, CT, MRI, and endoscopic findings.
• Manage ENT emergencies such as epistaxis, foreign bodies, and acute airway-related conditions.
• Create individualized medical and surgical treatment plans and provide follow-up care.
• Coordinate care with audiologists, speech therapists, pediatricians, radiologists, and other specialists.
• Comply with DHA regulations, clinical protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards.

Qualifications and requirements

• MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Otolaryngology, ENT, or Head and Neck Surgery.
• Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist-level qualification.
• Internationally recognized American, UK, Canadian, Australian, European, or other qualifications are highly desirable.
• 3–5 years of relevant post-specialization experience is preferred, subject to licensing requirements.
• Strong ENT diagnostic, endoscopic, and medical or surgical management expertise; strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient management skills.
• Eligible for DHA Specialist ENT / Otolaryngology classification or license in Dubai, subject to UAE PQR requirements and clinical privileges.
