Role overview

Clinical responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage ear, nose, throat, and related head and neck conditions, including sinusitis, tonsillitis, allergic rhinitis, hearing loss, and ear infections.
• Perform nasal endoscopy, laryngoscopy, and otoscopy; perform tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, septoplasty, and FESS when appropriately trained and credentialed.
• Manage voice and swallowing disorders, upper airway conditions, vertigo, tinnitus, balance disorders, and other otological conditions.
• Interpret audiometry, tympanometry, CT scans, MRI, and endoscopic findings; manage epistaxis, foreign bodies, and acute airway-related emergencies.
• Develop individualized medical and surgical treatment plans, provide follow-up care, and collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists.
• Comply with DHA regulations, ENT clinical protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards.

Qualifications and experience

• MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree, recognized postgraduate qualification in Otolaryngology / ENT / Head & Neck Surgery, and board certification or equivalent recognized specialist-level qualification.
• Internationally recognized qualifications from the American, UK, Canadian, Australian, European, or other systems are highly desirable.
• Three to five years of relevant post-specialization experience is preferred, subject to applicable licensing requirements.
• Strong expertise in ENT diagnostics, endoscopic procedures, and medical or surgical management of ENT disorders; excellent clinical judgment, communication, and patient management skills.
• Eligible for DHA Specialist ENT / Otolaryngology classification or licensing in Dubai, subject to UAE PQR requirements and clinical privileges.
