Role overview

SmartPlant 3D duties

• Set up and maintain SmartPlant 3D project environments and reference databases using SmartPlant Reference Data.
• Prepare piping isometric and general arrangement drawing templates for all disciplines, and MTO interface files for SmartPlant Materials.
• Run clash checks and prepare reports and model review files to assess 3D model quality.
• Configure global workshare for SmartPlant 3D using MSSQL and Oracle; maintain and verify daily backups.
• Follow department and client drafting standards and establish design quality assurance audits and checks.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and discipline engineers to resolve SmartPlant 3D issues.
• Create project reports, produce accurate system designs to schedule, and help develop automation enhancements.
• Train designers across SmartPlant 3D discipline modules and coordinate piping designers and operators.
• Deliver setup, configuration, training, and project deliverables safely and within budget, schedule, and quality requirements.

Qualifications and experience

• Engineering graduate with a BEng, BSc, MSc, or related mechanical or technical degree.
• At least 7 years of relevant engineering design application support experience in oil and gas or petrochemicals.
• Experience with SPRD, SPR, SmartSketch, and Navisworks Manage is required; Smart 3D upgrade experience is mandatory.
• SPP&ID, S3D, SPI, and SPEL integration or correlation experience with SPF is listed as relevant experience.
• Intergraph-certified SmartPlant 3D Designer or System Administrator is preferred; ADNOC group experience is an advantage.
• VB (.NET) programming and MSSQL or Oracle query knowledge are assets.
• Strong English communication, user-training ability, leadership, coordination, analytical and proactive skills are sought.
• Able to work under project pressure and within multidisciplinary teams including process, mechanical, civil-structural, electrical, instrumentation, and CAD support.
