Role overview

Project coordination and quality

• Coordinate with project managers, clients, vendors, and OEMs; attend client meetings and present discipline status.
• Manage interfaces with process, electrical, piping, mechanical, civil-structural, and telecom disciplines, including inter-discipline checks.
• Implement QA/QC procedures, internal audits, and deliverable quality reviews.
• Follow engineering and drafting methods and standards and promote HSE.
• Lead the discipline team and ensure work is delivered safely, on budget, on schedule, and to quality expectations.

Education and experience

• A bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or Control Engineering is required; a master's degree is an advantage.
• At least 15 years of relevant oil and gas or petrochemical I&C engineering experience is required, including at least 5 years as Lead I&C Engineer.
• At least 8 years of hands-on SPI experience, including team leadership and project setup or administration, is required.
• At least 5 years of SP3D instrumentation or E&I modelling experience, including leading or coordinating 3D designers, is required.
• ADNOC Onshore, Offshore, Gas, or group-project experience is required; AGPS/DGS and ADNOC SmartPlant standards familiarity is strongly preferred.
• Hexagon SPI administration and/or S3D certification is preferred.

Technical expertise

• Strong knowledge of DCS, ESD/SIS, F&G and PLC systems, functional safety (IEC 61511), hazardous-area classification, and instrument sizing is required.
• SPI experience includes instrument index, specifications, process data, calculations, wiring, loop drawings, hook-ups, browser, administration, and InfoMaker customisation or reports.
• S3D work includes instrument and cable-tray modelling, model reviews using SmartPlant Review or Navisworks, clash management, and drawing extraction.
• Integration with SPPID, SPEL, and SPF and brownfield modification or shutdown/turnaround project experience are required.
• Estimating man-hours, preparing deliverable lists and proposals, and leadership, mentoring, and coordination are part of the stated profile.
• MSSQL/Oracle queries and VB.NET or other automation are considered assets.
