Role overview
Rejlers is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to execute projects and support bids in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The role reports to the Manager of Projects.
Responsibilities
- Support project execution and participate in project reviews, HSE workshops, design reviews, and pre-start-up reviews.
- Monitor progress and deliverables, coordinate disciplines, and provide weekly status and close-out reports.
- Interpret client requirements and monitor compliance with applicable codes, QA/QC policies, standards, and specifications.
- Coordinate project participants, prioritize workloads, identify emerging technical issues, and propose corrective actions.
- Review technical proposals, provide implementation guidance, and ensure project software is available and effectively used.
- Act as a customer and supplier-facing project contact and report activities, deviations, and achievements to management.
- Track progress, productivity, remaining work, cost, and time to support financial and gross-margin forecasting.
- Lead project control, engineering, and procurement work; manage deliverables and scope, schedule, cost, quality, and HSE compliance.
Preferred skills and requirements
- Engineering graduate with a BSc or MSc.
- At least 15 years of relevant project management and control experience, including at least 10 years in oil and gas, refining, petrochemical, or chemical industries.
- Experience across studies, FEED, and detailed engineering.
- Strong project control and scheduling knowledge; fluent spoken and written English.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, people-management, and customer-interface skills.
- Able to meet tight deadlines and manage pressure during peak activities.
- Recognized professional certifications and affiliations are listed as a preferred qualification.
