Location and engagement

• The role is based onsite in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with in-person work required.
• The engagement is for a government technology project.

Role overview

Architecture and design

• Define solution architecture across infrastructure, cloud, network, DevOps, monitoring, and application components.
• Design and review cloud solutions primarily across GCP and OCI.
• Develop high-level and detailed architecture for compute, storage, network, security, middleware, and applications.
• Design and review high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, performance, security, and monitoring architecture.
• Guide application deployment and integration with underlying infrastructure.

Governance and delivery

• Work with infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, application, integration, and security teams.
• Review existing environments and recommend modernization, optimization, and cloud transformation approaches.
• Support technical governance, architecture reviews, solution documentation, and design approvals.
• Coordinate with project managers and technical teams to align implementation with approved architecture.
• Present and discuss technical matters with government stakeholders and senior management.

Required experience and skills

• 10+ years of IT experience, including strong experience as a Solution, Enterprise, or Infrastructure Architect.
• Strong architecture experience across infrastructure and cloud, with sufficient understanding of the application layer.
• Hands-on architectural knowledge of GCP and/or OCI.
• Strong understanding of networking, compute, storage, security, monitoring, and middleware.
• Good understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, containers, and Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Experience defining end-to-end enterprise architecture and integrating infrastructure with applications.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management capabilities.

Preferred qualifications

• Large-scale government, public-sector, or enterprise transformation project exposure is highly desirable.
• Project management and technical delivery coordination experience is an advantage.
• Arabic and English communication skills are preferred.
