Responsibilities
- Design, implement, manage, and maintain database environments; administer and support Oracle databases in enterprise environments.
- Work with GCP environments and cloud-based database solutions.
- Monitor database performance and perform optimization and tuning; troubleshoot issues and ensure availability and reliability.
- Support database migration and integration activities.
- Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
- Work closely with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams.
- Maintain database security, availability, and performance standards.
- Prepare technical documentation and support ongoing project requirements.
Required qualifications
- 8–10 years of professional experience in Database Engineering or a related field.
- Strong hands-on Oracle Database experience and practical GCP experience.
- Strong knowledge of database administration, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Experience with database backup, recovery, troubleshooting, and enterprise-scale database environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; good communication and teamwork skills.
- Saudi nationality is stated as required in the source.
Preferred experience
- Cloud database migration and implementation experience is preferred.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications is preferred.
- Knowledge of database security and high-availability environments is preferred.
- Experience in long-term transformation or technology projects is preferred.
