Role overview
Design the architecture for a new enterprise ERP application built from scratch.
The application is intended to be scalable, multi-tenant, and integrated with an existing suite of SaaS products.
The engineering team is AI-first and the application uses a .NET/Angular codebase.
Key responsibilities
- Own high-level and low-level technical design for the new ERP application.
- Design secure integration patterns between the ERP and the existing SaaS portfolio.
- Leverage shared backend services, including unified login, authentication, and core data routing.
- Define AWS architecture for high availability, performance, and strict data isolation for multi-tenant clients.
- Work with the Engineering Manager and AI-enabled team to establish technical standards, code-generation patterns, and architectural guardrails.
Technical requirements
- Deep expertise in the .NET (C#) ecosystem and microservices architecture.
- Strong architectural understanding of Angular.
- Extensive experience designing cloud-native solutions in AWS.
- Experience with NuGet repository management and internal package sharing.
- A proven track record designing enterprise, multi-tenant SaaS systems is a strict must-have.
Candidate profile
- Must have defined the architecture for a complex SaaS platform from a blank slate.
- Must be adaptable, hands-on, and able to make pragmatic decisions balancing speed to market with long-term scalability.
- Familiarity with modern AI coding assistants and understanding of codebases navigable and extensible by AI-driven teams.
- Must be able to explain complex architectural trade-offs as clear business impact for stakeholders.
Engagement
- Contract engagement for six or more months, with a possible extension.
Location
- Remote in Canada.
