The role calls for infrastructure expertise and experience leading a team in a technical environment.
System and infrastructure support
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application, user, and system issues.
- Ensure high performance of retail systems across the head office and all sites.
- Support MS SQL Server-based systems at the head office, back office, and POS locations.
User and client support
- Liaise with head-office and fuel-station users to resolve technical issues.
- Train and guide users on system functionality as required.
- Work with vendors and external support teams on third-party system issues.
Technical qualifications
- Background in infrastructure support, including networking, servers, storage, cloud, and security.
- Familiarity with POS systems and bank terminals.
- Experience implementing, testing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting applications.
- Experience providing end-user technical support and writing SQL queries and scripts.
- Understanding of Web Services, APIs, IP-based protocols, networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and network management tools.
Experience and attributes
- At least 1–2 years of IT support experience.
- Experience with retail systems or similar distributed-site environments.
- Leadership qualities and ability to motivate and develop a support team.
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations, lead incident responses, and work independently.
- A UAE driving license is mandatory.
Working arrangements
- On-call and shift rotation may be required to provide after-hours support.
