Seeking an intermediate-level SDET to build automated testing and automate regression and QA processes.
Works with three software developers, one product manager, and QA colleagues on other Scrum teams.
Responsibilities
- Build and own a full suite of automated tests in Cypress, starting with regression coverage.
- Automate as much of the existing manual QA and regression process as possible.
- Use AI tools to write, maintain, and triage tests and find additional opportunities to accelerate testing.
- Keep the framework and CI test runs fast, stable, and easy for developers to contribute to.
- Define test coverage with developers and the product manager from requirements before code is written.
- Run tests, report defects, and work with developers to resolve them.
- Report coverage, quality, and stability, and share testing practices with QA on other teams.
Requirements
- Intermediate-level SDET or similar test automation experience.
- Hands-on Cypress test-suite experience, or Playwright/Selenium experience with ability to move to Cypress.
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript programming skills; C# is an asset.
- Practical use of AI tools in development or testing workflows.
- Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks such as Jest, xUnit, or similar.
- Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and orchestration tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Criminal background check required.
