The SDET will build a full suite of automated tests and automate regression and QA processes.
The role works with a team of software developers and a product manager, and alongside QA on other Scrum teams.
What you will do
- Build and own automated tests, starting with regression coverage.
- Automate existing manual QA and regression processes.
- Use AI tools to write, maintain, and triage tests and identify opportunities to speed up testing.
- Keep the test framework and CI test runs fast, stable, and easy for developers to contribute to.
- Define test coverage with developers and the product manager from requirements before code is written.
- Run tests, report defects, and work with developers to resolve them.
- Report coverage, quality, and stability, and share testing practices with QA on other teams.
Requirements
- Intermediate-level SDET or similar test automation experience.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated suites in Cypress, or Playwright/Selenium with the ability to move to Cypress.
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript programming skills; C# is an asset.
- Practical experience using AI tools in development or testing workflows.
- Experience with unit and integration test frameworks such as Jest, xUnit, or similar.
- Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and orchestration tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Criminal background check required.
