The role supports customer-focused solutions and business requirements under the supervision of senior engineers.
Focus areas include image processing, circuit engineering workflows and EDA tools, Angular or React GUI development, design reuse, and website navigation.
Responsibilities
- Design software systems for business requirements, including technology selection, scale, security, requirements mapping, and failover.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code with CloudOps specialists and contribute to platform architecture, reliability, and code quality.
- Build proof-of-concepts, present findings, and help assess technical risks and approaches.
- Implement front-end and back-end solutions and participate in design reviews and technical investigations.
- Maintain technical and intellectual-property documentation and support knowledge transfer across teams.
- Contribute telemetry and monitoring for observability and performance tracking.
- Provide real-time DevOps support, troubleshoot platform problems, triage and resolve bugs, and assist customers during high-severity incidents.
What you’ll bring
- Pursuing post-secondary studies in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of software concepts and architecture, with hands-on experience developing software programs.
- Experience participating in complex software projects and working effectively in an Agile development environment.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking, organization, attention to detail, communication, and priority management.
- A background in integrated technical product development is desirable, ideally in a SaaS environment.
Working arrangement
- This is an on-site role at the Ottawa office, working collaboratively with software development teams.
Compensation
- Expected salary is CAD $21–$25 per hour.
