The Applied AI Solutions Architect turns business problems into working AI solutions for TechInsights and its customers.
The role combines business analysis, solution architecture, and hands-on delivery using AI coding tools to move from idea to production.
What you will do
- Own business problems through delivery, confirm outcomes with sponsors, and gather and document requirements, user journeys, and acceptance criteria.
- Prioritize work for incremental value and design solutions using agents, tools, retrieval, integrations, interfaces, and human review.
- Design for scalability, performance, cost, security, and company architecture and data standards; collaborate with Product, UX, SRE, and architects.
- Prototype and build end-to-end solutions, using AI coding tools and reviewing generated work for quality, security, and correctness.
- Automate repeatable tasks, define test plans with QA, and take solutions to production with Software Development as needed.
- Set success metrics, measure usage, output quality, and business impact, then iterate using results and feedback.
What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Track record of taking ambiguous business problems through to production solutions.
- Hands-on LLM experience, including agents, tool use, data retrieval, and output-quality evaluation.
- Strong solution architecture and/or solutions engineering experience; ability to write, review, and debug code with AI tools.
- Strong communication, technical project leadership, collaboration, decision-making, organization, and critical-thinking skills.
- Claude Code or similar AI coding tools, AWS, and MCP integration experience are assets.
Compensation and benefits
- Expected salary range is CAD $199,000 to $210,735.
- Benefits include health, dental, vision, wellness, retirement matching, fitness reimbursement, training, and flexible vacation.
Working arrangement
- On-site role based in Ottawa, Ontario.
