Software Commissioning Engineer stationed in Dubai, supporting automation system commissioning and trial operations.
Responsibilities
- Execute commissioning plans; verify system logic, functions, and interfaces, record test results, and report software defects or abnormal behavior.
- Prepare software training materials and user manuals, design courses for customer management, operators, and maintenance staff, and conduct on-site training.
- Troubleshoot software, workflow, and interface issues during trial runs; analyze root causes and work with R&D on fixes.
- Coordinate joint debugging of software and control hardware with the electrical and controls commissioning engineer.
- Collect customer feedback, maintain version records, and update operating documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Automation, Software Engineering, or a related major.
- Practical software commissioning experience with automated logistics, warehouse management, or material-handling systems; familiarity with WMS/WCS or automation control software logic.
- Excellent technical writing skills and ability to independently prepare English manuals and training guides.
- Ability to deliver face-to-face technical training to customer users at different levels.
- Strong logical thinking and fault-analysis skills; able to reproduce, locate, and clearly describe software issues.
- Fluent English for daily technical communication with overseas clients.
- Based in Dubai for site commissioning and able to follow project milestones.
