Electrical & Controls Commissioning Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Commission electrical and control systems according to the approved plan, complete test records, and report site technical issues promptly.
• Support electrical operation and maintenance manuals and provide tiered technical training to customer management, operations, and maintenance personnel.
• Diagnose faults during system trial operation and resolve control issues to support stable operation.
• Coordinate schedules with software engineers, the site construction team, and the client; verify control logic and close punch items.
• Review electrical drawings and check wiring, safety circuits, sensors, actuators, and field control devices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a relevant field.
• Hands-on commissioning experience with automated warehousing or material handling systems; proficiency debugging PLCs, HMIs, servo systems, sensors, and field control hardware.
• Good English communication and technical documentation skills, including writing test reports and electrical maintenance guidance.
• Strong on-site troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently under tight project timelines.
• Customer-oriented approach and comfort providing on-site training and communicating with client teams at multiple levels.
• Willingness to work on-site in Dubai and adapt to project-based work rhythms.
