Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- More than 4 years of design experience, including at least 2 years with a construction company in the UAE.
- Fully aware of UAE authorities’ rules and regulations and international codes and standards.
- Expertise in designing HVAC, firefighting, drainage and water supply systems.
- Familiarity with Revit/BIM.
Responsibilities
- Prepare design and technical calculations and reports.
- Attend and participate in design, technical and progress meetings.
- Discuss and negotiate design issues with developers and authorities.
- Work on project MEP system specifications.
- Monitor and control site engineer activities.
- Prepare design documents required for authority approval.
- Conduct regular site visits to check execution against the contract.
- Follow up with draftsmen on design drawings and ensure drafting quality.
- Coordinate with electrical, architectural, structural and other design parties and departments.
- Work on value engineering reports.
Pay and employment
- Full-time position.
- Pay is AED 4,000–5,000 per month.
