Oversee day-to-day site execution of HV power cable installation projects, particularly at 132kV and above.
Coordinate site activities, manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and to quality and technical requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Manage site activities for HV cable installation and coordinate cable laying, pulling, jointing, termination, testing, and commissioning.
- Manage manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors; coordinate with Project Engineers, consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
- Monitor progress, schedules, quality, and resource needs; conduct inspections and ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.
- Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and risk assessments; resolve site issues and follow up on corrective actions.
- Prepare progress reports, site records, and handover documents; act as primary site contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure work follows approved drawings, method statements, project procedures, and applicable standards.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- 5–8 years of relevant HV power cable project experience; 132kV-and-above experience is preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience in HV cable installation, laying, pulling, jointing, termination, testing, and commissioning.
- Utility or power transmission project experience is highly preferred; DEWA, SEWA, FEWA, or similar utility experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of site execution, coordination, safety, and quality; ability to manage teams, subcontractors, equipment, and resources.
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
