Artificial Intelligence Engineer

About the role

What you'll do

• Understand customer workflows, data, and constraints, and identify where AI can deliver measurable value.
• Scope and prioritize use cases with stakeholders and create clear delivery plans.
• Build LLM agents, RAG, tool/function calling, document processing, and workflow automation solutions.
• Integrate with data warehouses, CRMs, ticketing tools, internal APIs, and legacy software.
• Build evaluation and monitoring for quality, latency, cost, and safety.
• Deploy and operate solutions in cloud, VPC, and on-premises customer environments with security and compliance requirements.
• Iterate on prompts, retrieval, models, and user experience based on post-launch use.
• Create reusable components from recurring customer needs and share feedback with product and research teams.
• Present results, trade-offs, and roadmaps to executives and engineers.

What you'll bring

• 5+ years of AI experience, strong Python, and working fluency in TypeScript or a similar language.
• Production LLM application experience spanning prompt design, RAG, agents, tool use, structured outputs, and fine-tuning where appropriate.
• Practical AI evaluation experience, including test sets, LLM-as-judge methods, and regression tracking.
• Experience with vector search, embeddings, and data pipelines, plus SQL and API integration skills.
• Cloud infrastructure experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, along with containers and CI/CD.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences; able to run workshops and explain trade-offs.
• Takes ownership from vague request through deployed solution; willing to travel to customer sites as needed.

Nice to have

• Forward-deployed, solutions engineering, consulting, or startup founding experience.
• Experience with agent frameworks, MCP, or multi-agent orchestration.
• Regulated-industry experience, including security reviews and data governance.
• Familiarity with model serving, inference optimization, or open-weight model deployment.
• Front-end experience building internal tools and customer prototypes; open-source AI contributions or technical writing.
