Service and guest experience
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude with guests and support colleagues during service.
- Coordinate with kitchen, cashier, and service teams for accurate orders and timely food delivery; help with seating and table clearing during busy periods.
- Build warm guest relationships and support a positive dining experience and repeat visits.
Safety, hygiene, and training
- Follow hygiene, safety, sanitation, food-handling, allergen-awareness, and service procedures.
- Keep tables, service areas, and utensils clean; report safety hazards, equipment problems, and hygiene concerns to supervisors.
- Demonstrate order-taking, guest interaction, and hygiene practices to new service staff; apply feedback and share menu knowledge with colleagues.
Cost, inventory, and transactions
- Help reduce costs by preventing order errors, managing table turnover, and handling items carefully.
- Monitor service-item availability and support sales through upselling, menu knowledge, and daily specials.
- Handle bills, payment methods, and transactions accurately to reduce discrepancies.
Qualifications and skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; a Hospitality or Customer Service certificate is advantageous.
- 1–2 years of service or customer-facing experience in F&B or hospitality.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, teamwork, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy and service quality.
- Knowledge of basic food and beverage service standards, hygiene practices, and order-taking procedures.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic billing procedures is advantageous.
