Role overview

ARX is hiring a Senior Wet Utilities Engineer for its Riyadh office.

The role focuses on wet utility systems for infrastructure projects, including potable water, wastewater/sewerage, irrigation/TSE, and fire water.

The role includes managing other people.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and oversee wet utility systems for infrastructure projects.
  • Perform and review hydraulic calculations, network modelling, pipe sizing, and related engineering analyses.
  • Ensure designs comply with local regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to integrate wet utilities into project designs.
  • Coordinate utility corridors, crossings, connections, diversions, and interfaces with other infrastructure disciplines.
  • Prepare engineering reports, plans, and documentation.
  • Review designs and technical deliverables prepared by engineers, designers, and BIM/CAD team members.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Liaise with government authorities, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in infrastructure projects focused on wet utilities, including at least 3 years of relevant experience in KSA.
  • Strong knowledge of wet utility systems, design and construction practices, KSA codes, standards, and utility authority requirements.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering design and hydraulic modelling software, such as Civil 3D, WaterGEMS, and SewerGEMS.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
