Role overview
Senior Test Engineer role requiring 10+ years of manual testing experience in banking and payments.
Focuses on ATM, POS and e-commerce transactions, switch platforms, and issuer/acquirer authorization workflows.
Key responsibilities
- Design, review and execute manual, integration, regression and UAT cases for ATM, POS and e-commerce payment channels.
- Conduct issuer and acquirer authorization testing using ISO 8583 for credit and debit card transactions.
- Run end-to-end tests on switch platforms and inspect switch logs and database records.
- Validate card and account data using core banking applications such as Prime and Finacle.
- Use card simulators and conduct API testing with SoapUI and Postman.
- Use Fraud Navigator for fraud monitoring; assist with production monitoring, replica testing, rollback testing and troubleshooting.
- Document bugs, track issues and manage test cases in ALM, Azure DevOps, JIRA or Rally.
Required qualifications and skills
- 10+ years of hands-on software testing experience in banking and payments.
- Deep knowledge of ISO 8583, IST Switch, Postilion, Base24 and Electra.
- Technical skills include SQL, Unix commands, Oracle Database, and NDC and DDC protocols.
- Required testing tools include MasterCard/Visa simulators, FINSIM, EFT Simulator, Fraud Navigator, SoapUI, Postman and REST API.
- Test management experience with ALM, Azure DevOps, JIRA or Rally.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Applications (MCA), Software Engineering or a related field.
