Responsibilities

• Lead automation testing initiatives focused on Playwright and Karate.
• Design, maintain, and execute automated and functional tests for REST and SOAP APIs.
• Validate API payloads, status codes, headers, security, and error handling.
• Analyze specifications, requirements, and integrations to define test scenarios and end-to-end coverage.
• Develop reusable automation frameworks and testing practices.
• Participate in test planning, regression and integration testing, and release validation.
• Track and verify defects with cross-functional partners.
• Report quality metrics, testing progress, and risks to leadership.
• Maintain test documentation and automation reports; mentor automation engineers.

Experience and skills

• 10+ years of software quality assurance and test automation experience.
• Expertise with Playwright and Karate and scalable automation frameworks.
• Hands-on REST and SOAP API testing experience.
• Proficiency with Postman, Swagger, REST Assured, and Karate.
• Knowledge of API protocols, payloads, authentication, headers, status codes, and error handling.
• Experience with automated API suites, CI/CD pipelines, Agile/Scrum, test planning, regression testing, integration testing, defect management, and reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Compensation

• Posted base compensation range is $73,150–$174,000 yearly; actual compensation depends on legally permitted factors.
• The role may be eligible for additional incentives, bonuses, or commissions.
