Senior telecom technician role based in Abu Dhabi.
Responsibilities
- Install, test, commission, and maintain telecom equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot faults in telecom equipment, transmission links, power systems, and network connectivity.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance at telecom sites.
- Support antenna, feeder, RF, microwave, and IP network activities.
- Monitor site alarms and coordinate resolution with engineers, NOC teams, vendors, and customers.
- Ensure correct installation, cable dressing, labelling, grounding, and site housekeeping.
- Prepare site visit reports, test results, material requirements, and maintenance records.
- Guide junior technicians and follow safety and quality requirements.
Qualifications and experience
- Diploma or technical certification in telecommunications, electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- At least five years of hands-on telecom installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance experience; the experience section specifies six years.
- At least five years of experience with base stations, microwave links, antennas, feeders, battery systems, and troubleshooting telecom, transmission, RF, power, and IP network issues.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and subnetting; ability to read telecom and network drawings.
- Familiarity with site acceptance testing, preventive maintenance, and quality and safety procedures.
- Good English communication and technical reporting skills.
- A valid UAE driving licence is preferred.
Pay
- Pay is AED 8,000–10,000 per month.
Work arrangement
- Work location is in person in Abu Dhabi.
