SENIOR TECHNICAL ENGINEER (RTA PROJECT)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate technical engineering activities for the project.
• Review IFC, shop, and design drawings; specifications; BOQs; and technical submissions.
• Prepare or review method statements, material submittals, RFIs, technical queries, and engineering reports.
• Coordinate with RTA, consultants, designers, subcontractors, utility authorities, and construction teams.
• Identify design discrepancies and coordinate technically feasible solutions with stakeholders.
• Support construction teams with site-related technical issues and monitor submissions and approvals against the project programme.
• Coordinate interfaces across roads, utilities, structures, drainage, street lighting, traffic systems, and other infrastructure disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with RTA standards, project specifications, authority requirements, and approved drawings.
• Support as-built drawings, variation-related technical documentation, and handover requirements; attend stakeholder meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant roads and infrastructure experience, with strong UAE experience.
• Experience on major Dubai infrastructure projects is preferred; Dubai RTA experience is described as highly preferred / required.
• Strong knowledge of RTA standards, specifications, technical submission procedures, and authority coordination.
• Experience in roads, utilities, drainage, infrastructure, and associated civil works.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, and engineering/document-control processes.
• Ability to interpret complex drawings, specifications, and contractual technical requirements.
• Strong coordination, problem-solving, communication, and technical reporting skills.
• Main-contractor experience is preferred.

Pay

• AED 15,000–25,000 per month.
