Role overview
Directly leads field crews carrying out underground wet and dry utility work in road rights-of-way.
Key responsibilities
- Lead installation, jointing, testing, and backfilling of underground utility networks.
- Supervise trench excavation, bedding, pipe laying, and backfilling for HDPE, UPVC, GRP, ductile iron, and concrete pipes.
- Supervise dry utility duct laying, handhole and manhole placement, and street lighting preparation.
- Assist engineers with hydrostatic or pneumatic pipe pressure testing and gravity leak testing.
- Enforce crew safety practices for trench shoring, pipe lifting, and confined spaces.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a Utility Foreman in civil infrastructure.
- Practical knowledge of pipe jointing, backfill compaction, trench safety, and utility alignments.
- Building MEP and indoor plumbing or electrical experience are explicitly excluded from the requested background.
Pay
- Pay is up to AED 7,000 per month.
Work location
- Work is in person and involves field installation activities.
