Full-time role in the IT Department focused on leading IT operations across a large-scale enterprise environment.
Oversees infrastructure, cloud, network and security, databases, DevOps, and IT support to support availability, scalability, and security.
Leadership and operations
- Lead cross-functional IT teams and ensure 24/7 availability, operational stability, and incident response.
- Define IT strategy, roadmap, architecture standards, policies, procedures, and governance.
- Manage team performance, KPIs, continuous improvement, vendors, managed service providers, and stakeholder coordination.
Infrastructure, network, and cloud
- Oversee Windows Server, Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, Linux, VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, storage, capacity planning, and infrastructure lifecycle.
- Design and manage LAN/WAN, routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, WAFs, access controls, security monitoring, and vulnerability management.
- Manage on-premises, Azure, AWS, and hybrid systems; lead cloud migration, secure connectivity, disaster recovery replication, and cost optimization.
- Oversee VMware Horizon VDI and enterprise database environments, including backup, recovery, high availability, and performance optimization.
DevOps, resilience, and compliance
- Oversee Docker and Kubernetes environments and promote PowerShell, Bash, and CI/CD automation.
- Define backup strategies, implement and test disaster recovery plans against RPO/RTO requirements, and conduct DR drills.
- Manage monitoring, alerting, incident handling, and performance optimization.
- Maintain architecture, SOP, and DR documentation and support security standards and audit compliance.
Platforms and systems
- Firewall platforms listed include Fortinet FortiGate, Sophos, Sangfor, Barracuda, and Azure Firewall.
- Cloud and infrastructure technologies include Azure, AWS, VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, VMware Horizon, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Database technologies listed include SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Cassandra, as applicable.
Pay
- AED 6,000–8,000 per month.
Work location
- Work location is in person.
Requirements
- Highly experienced in IT operations across a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Strong experience managing hybrid on-premises and cloud environments.
- Deep expertise in networking, firewalls, virtualization, and enterprise systems.
- Proven leadership capabilities managing cross-functional IT teams.
- Experience across infrastructure, cloud, network and security, database administration, DevOps or automation, and IT support.
- Experience with enterprise firewall solutions; listed platforms include Fortinet, Sophos, Sangfor, Barracuda, and Azure Firewall.
- Experience overseeing database environments and backup, recovery, and high availability.
- Experience with container environments, automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience defining and testing disaster recovery plans against RPO/RTO requirements.
