Role overview

VX Studio Consultancy is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for site-based consultancy work.

The role focuses on quality, safety, and compliance of structural works, particularly on high-rise and large-scale projects.

Key responsibilities

Supervise structural works on site to ensure compliance with design, codes, and project specifications.
Review and approve structural shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues related to structural works.
Coordinate with project managers, architects, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Monitor construction progress against timelines and quality standards.
Guide and mentor junior engineers and site teams.
Prepare and review structural reports, progress updates, and site documentation.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.

Qualifications and experience

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; a Master’s degree is preferred.
Minimum 10+ years of relevant structural engineering experience, including at least five years in site-based consultancy roles.
Strong background in high-rise buildings and large-scale projects.
Familiarity with international codes and standards, including ACI, BS, or Eurocode.
Proficiency in structural engineering software and tools.
Problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
UAE experience is highly preferred.
